Your Pool Journey — Step by Step
Initial Consultation & Site Visit
First, we explore your brief, lifestyle, and vision for the pool. Additionally, a site visit allows us to assess space, orientation, and technical requirements.
Discovery Session & Preliminary Plans
Together, we review design options, features, and budgets. As a result, initial plans, drawings, and cost guides give a clear picture of what’s possible.
Design Refinement & Budget Finalisation
Any changes to layout, features, or budget are incorporated. Once approved, we move confidently into the planning stage. Including a discussion and plan for Permissions, regulations, and technical specifications
Construction & Pool Build
Groundworks, pool shell, plant room, and supporting structures are installed. Afterwards, the pool shell is completed, followed by fixtures, plumbing, filtration, and finishing touches.
Finishing Touches & Handover
Landscaping, decking, lighting, and additional features are completed. Finally, the pool is tested, cleaned, and prepared for your first swim.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need planning permission to build a swimming pool?
Most outdoor domestic pools in the UK don’t need planning permission, unless your home is listed, in a conservation area, or you’re adding a large structure such as a pool building or enclosure. Indoor pools and certain structural changes will usually require Building Regulations approval. From day one, our team ensures permissions never become a stumbling block.
How long does it take to build a luxury pool?
Timelines vary depending on the type of pool, complexity, and custom features. For example, a fibreglass pool may take just a few weeks, while a bespoke, fully tiled in-ground pool typically takes around 8–12 weeks from excavation to first swim. During your consultation, we’ll give you a realistic schedule so you know exactly what to expect.
What’s the cost difference between refurbishing and building new?
Pool refurbishments can be surprisingly cost-effective — ideal if you want to modernise an older pool with fresh tiling, new filtration, or added features. Depending on scope, refurbishments generally start from the low tens of thousands, while a completely new luxury pool can range from £60,000 upwards. Clear, itemised quotes help you make the best choice for your space and budget.
What type of pool is right for me?
It depends on your vision, space, and lifestyle. Tiled concrete pools offer unlimited design freedom and exceptional durability. Fibreglass pools are quick to install and easy to maintain. Natural swimming pools provide a chemical-free, eco-friendly option. We’ll help you explore all the possibilities — from sleek indoor spa pools to dramatic infinity designs — so you get a pool that feels made just for you.
What are the running and maintenance costs?
Ongoing costs depend on your pool’s size, heating system, and how often it’s used. Heating and water treatment are usually the largest expenses, but smart design choices — like energy-efficient pumps, covers, and heating systems — can keep running costs surprisingly low. We also offer maintenance plans so you can enjoy your pool without the upkeep worries.
