Concrete Pool Renovation, what to consider?
Blue Cube Pools have a vast experience of renovating and repairing concrete pools. It is important to consider certain factors when renovating concrete pools for example ensuring that the pool structure is in a good condition and watertight. If the pools structure is good and there no uneven areas then it is possible to upgrade your tiles. However if there are any minor cracks or slight leaking this suggests that the structure is not sound and be subject to further movement, this can happen due to ground movement. If this is the case then tiling is not recommended because of the rigidity of tiles and mosaics. In these instances we would advise the use of a glass fibre finish which is reasonably flexible whilst being strong and resistant to damage.
What we can do to repair your concrete pool?
In these instances we would advise the use of a glass fibre finish which is reasonably flexible whilst being strong and resistant to damage. In some cases there may be more obvious structural issues which would require a thorough investigation and we could offer a heavy duty pvc liner which will allow for movement whilst ensuring your pool remains watertight. If there is more pronounced structural movement apparent, then a heavy duty PVC lining which has the necessary elasticity can be tailor made on-site. Our engineers are continuously learning about new and exciting upgrades for older more traditional pools and there are many outstanding liners which offer a strong yet aesthetically pleasing finished.
